Anzac Park West Refurbishment

GHD project management, architects, engineers and security specialists are providing a multi-disciplinary design and documentation service to St Hilliers for the design and construct delivery of this heritage listed building, situated in the parliamentary zone of the Australia's national capital.

. The GHD team has successfully addressed the challenge of cost-effective recycling of a heritage listed building to provide A-grade office accommodation and best practice energy efficiency (4.5 star Australian Building Greenhouse Rating). The scope of the work included options such as chilled water beams.

A 5000sq m nett lettable area (NLA) extension has been added to the existing 10,000sq m NLA building and new building services have been provided.

Extensive internal re-configuration has been carried out to comply with the Buiding Council of Australia and government disability requirements, and to provide flexible building services expected in a modern office.

The mechanical services design included an enhanced variable air volume system using low temperature supply air with swirl diffusers to allow high turn down ratios so fan power is reduced. Other features include vertical zoning with only limited reheat.
