GHD completed a security risk assessment, drafted a security
plan, and developed security concept design guidelines for a four
square-kilometre area of reclaimed land between Dubai's renowned
Palm Jumeriah development and Port Rashid.
The Dubai Maritime City is being designed to
be the largest maritime hub in the world, enticing
international maritime organisations to locate their headquarters
in the DMC. It is expected to have 30,000 residents and up to
300,000 daily commuters.
The completion of this initial phase of works
has enabled us to establish a security presence in the Dubai office
and has resulted in further works being commissioned, including a
security design for the Creek Towers and Plaza, an 8000 bed
habour accommodation complex, and the design of the wide area CCTV
network.
Our experienced professionals in Canberra,
Adelaide and Dubai worked closely with Turner Construction
and the Dubai Maritime City Authority to develop a
collaborative security solution to protect the Dubai Maritime
City.
