GHD has recently undertaken an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for an exploration drilling campaign.

The aim of this study is to obtain an approval  for the implementation of the proposed drilling campaign and to evaluate and identify potential adverse impacts of the proposed drilling activities.

A comprehensive range of studies were undertaken as part of the EIA, including:

  • Oceanography
  • Marine ecology
  • Socioeconomic impacts
  • Air quality
  • Marine water and sediment assessment
  • Waste management
  • Development of an emergency response plan
