"I'm delighted and incredibly proud to be recognised as both an Autodesk Expert Elite and one of the 40 under 40 Construction Champions for 2025,” Steven says. “These milestones would not have been possible without the support of my colleagues at GHD who make it possible to deliver real impact through digital innovation. Together, we’re pushing the boundaries of digital engineering and shaping the future of our industry."

Steven is currently the only Australian-based member of the Autodesk Expert Elite Program, a global initiative that acknowledges individuals who actively support the Autodesk community, sharing knowledge and advocating for best practices in digital design and engineering.

The 40 Under 40: Construction Champions award recognises professionals in architecture, engineering and construction who have made a notable impact in their role, demonstrated exceptional leadership, and implemented or managed technology with a major impact on a project or their company. Steven’s inclusion in this group highlights his role in advancing digital transformation within GHD and the wider industry.

With two decades of experience, Steven has led digital engineering initiatives across a diverse range of projects in Australia, the United Kingdom and South America. His work has involved the implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM), integration of digital workflows and the adoption of advanced software tools to improve project outcomes, collaboration and efficiency.

"We are proud to see Steven’s achievements recognised underscoring our dedication to adding value through leveraging technology and developing strong leadership. His ongoing work in digital transformation and engineering continues to inspire progress across the architecture, engineering and construction industry,” says Paul Murphy, GHD’s CIO.
