Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment

We're committed to encouraging more Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to join us.

GHD acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the land, water and sky throughout Australia on which we do business. We recognise their strength, diversity, resilience and deep connections to Country. We pay our respects to Elders of the past, present and future, as they hold the memories, knowledges and spirit of Australia.

We're committed to encouraging more Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to join us.

IT information technology, science and engineering – and offer excellent training programs and career development opportunities.

Working for GHD offers great insight into the corporate world. More importantly, it has allowed me to grow an expansive network of likeminded people. GHD’s Internal Indigenous Network brings together mob from across Australia. We are equally diverse in our heritage and professional skillset, and we’re all supportive of each other. It is inspiring to see mob excelling in the industry and uplifting each other in such a positive environment.”

Challenging our current practices and finding new avenues to support procurement of local Indigenous owned businesses is important in creating effectual change in the way we deliver our projects. It is also important to consider the impacts that infrastructure projects have on traditional lands and cultural heritage sites. Being in contact with Indigenous communities throughout the process can help determine the best outcome for Country and the community.”
- Monica Raju, Design

At GHD we’re proud to have maintained a strong connection to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities since our foundation more than 90 years ago. In recent years our connection has evolved even further, and we strive to continue to seek opportunities to influence positive outcomes.
