This panel brings together distinguished WTS Women of the Year to reflect on the experiences, decisions, and values that have shaped their careers and lasting impact on the transportation profession. Through personal insights and candid discussion, panelists will explore what leadership looks like in practice, sharing lessons on excellence, legacy and how to lead with purpose in a rapidly evolving industry.
Marsha Anderson‑Bomar draws on decades of leadership in transportation planning, traffic engineering and public infrastructure, with a career spanning both public and private sectors. A GHD Advisor and 2025–2026 President of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Marsha has played a pivotal role in shaping policies and practices that advance resilient, equitable and sustainable communities. As a panelist, Marsha will share her perspective on leadership, legacy and the responsibility of the profession to meet the needs of future generations.
Inspire It Forward: Increasing workforce development in STEM and transportation through education, mentoring and providing access

Bringing together voices from education, public agencies and non‑profit organizations, the session will explore practical approaches to building inclusive talent pipelines across the transportation sector. Through case studies and personal stories, the panel will highlight how education, mentorship, apprenticeships and professional development initiatives are creating pathways into STEM and transportation careers, offering attendees ideas they can adapt within their own organizations and communities.
Jennifer Ibrahim brings extensive experience delivering major rail and transit projects while leading multidisciplinary teams across complex infrastructure programs. Beyond project delivery, she is deeply committed to advancing equity and representation in transportation through mentorship and workforce development, supported by her board involvement with WTS, the Railway Association of Southern California (RASC), and the Aviation Youth Empowerment Foundation (AYEF).
