The GHD Sustainability Way
Achieving our carbon-neutrality goal
As part of our Decarbonisation Plan, we set a carbon-neutral target to offset our Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by the end of 2023. We achieved our goal of carbon neutrality for Scope 1 and 2 emissions in 2023 through a combination of GHG emissions reductions and the purchase of verified nature-based carbon offsets.
But our work doesn’t stop there. We have committed to setting and are now working to develop a science-based net-zero target to be approved by the Science Based Targets initiative, a global body enabling businesses to set emissions reductions targets in line with climate science. It is focused on supporting companies to achieve net-zero emissions before 2050. This will include both near-term and long-term targets to further avoid or reduce our Scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions.
