Connecting investment to impact

For the third year running, GHD, one of the world’s leading professional services companies, has announced its involvement with the UK’s Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF), which is set to take place between 20-22 May in Leeds.

Through infrastructure investment

GHD has sponsored a panel discussion which will take place on Tuesday 20th May at the Bury Theatre during the first day of UKREiiF.  Steve Scott, EMEA Future Communities and UK Built Environment at GHD, will be joined by some key influencers from the sector to explore how infrastructure investment can drive prosperity and long-term growth.

The government is aiming to accelerate economic productivity by generating investment in the economic infrastructure needed to support growth. 10 months into this parliament, this panel of senior figureheads within the infrastructure sector will discuss progress made to date, and whether the foundations laid are sufficient to turbo charge infrastructure transformation in the next 4 years. Are the building blocks in place to ‘get on with it’? Is confidence growing? What else if anything is needed?

Of GHD's involvement, EMEA Future Communities and UK Built Environment Lead at GHD, Steve Scott said:

“In our third year at UKREiiF I am delighted to be hosting a keynote panel on the first day on how we can turbo charge economic infrastructure in the UK to meet our productivity gap.  We have been fortunate to secure a diverse panel who represent all aspects of the infrastructure sectors. We will hear from them on the challenges that lie ahead and our ability to deliver on the infrastructure required and their confidence in our ability to do that. Outside of the panel I am looking forward to discussions with peers around industrial strategy, decarbonisation of industry, growth of new tech sectors and urban resilience.”
