Portsmouth Water’s £325 million Havant Thicket reservoir is the first freshwater storage reservoir in the UK since the 1990s. Creating the reservoir will help protect the River Test and River Itchen in Hampshire, and secure a reliable and sustainable water supply for Southeast England, an area suffering increasingly from acute water stress due to climate change and population growth.
