What is the GHD Career Relaunch Program?
What happens at the end of the program?
Will I have the direct support from a manager?
What additional support is provided in this role?
Participants will be paired with a buddy from within their team to help them familiarise themselves with their role and the business. Buddies will provide:
- Dedicated onboarding and support for each participant
- Assistance in becoming familiar with GHD, our culture and the team
- Navigation assistance for GHD's systems and practices
Participants will also be paired with a previous Career Relaunch Program participant, or someone that has worked closely with the program to offer additional support.
What training is provided?
Comprehensive onboarding training including GHD's systems, processes, work practices and culture will be provided. Examples of training includes:
- Welcome to GHD induction
- eLearning modules
- Health and safety induction
- Introduction to consulting and commercial principles
- Marketing and business development
- Business group specific training
You will also have access to technical training through our providers in certain discipline areas.
Will I get to interact with other program participants?
Who should apply for this program?
We understand that returning to the workforce after a career break can be challenging – our program is a way to reintegrate professionals into the workforce. The program provides a pathway for individuals who would like to return to the workforce but are uncertain of how to do so or have found some barriers when trying to do so. GHD also benefits with increased access to the skills and experience of greater range of people.
We are currently looking for professionals who have experience in any of the following disciplines:
- Engineering (building services, civil/structural, electrical, mechanical, process, renewables)
- Environmental and earth geosciences (including sustainability)
- Modelling / drafting (Revit, 12d, AutoCAD, Civil 3d, SolidWorks)
- Project management (PMCA)
- Advisory (including economics, mathematics, journalism, business, commerce, finance, risk and chemical, civil, electrical and power systems engineering)
- Digital (data science, AI, GIS/location intelligence, cyber security, applications development and software development)
- Design (Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Interior Design, Urban Design & Planning)
- Information Services (I.T.) (business analysis, project management and security)
- Business Services (finance, marketing and communications, people and culture)
- Major Project Delivery (project managers, project engineers, cost controllers, document controllers, estimators, study managers)

What is the application process?
Applications are open from Tuesday 30 April to Thursday 30 May 2024.
Applicants will complete an online application for the appropriate opportunity via the ‘How to apply’ section. Please allow 20 minutes to fill in your online application which includes some standard pre-screening questions. You will also be required to upload a cover letter and current CV/resume. Applicants will be screened and shortlisted for interview, with interviews tailored to each candidate.
