GHD shines in global design firm rankings
Global professional services company GHD has ranked #31 in Top 150 Global Design Firms 2024 survey, a prestigious listing published by the Engineering News-Record (ENR), which ranks design companies based on their annual revenue globally.
Highlighting its international reach, GHD has stepped up to #21 (up from #22) in Top 225 International Design Firms 2024, which is based on revenue generated outside each company’s home country. GHD also ranks #6 amongst global firms operating in Canada.
Looking at specific sectors, GHD ranks:
- #4 in hazardous waste
- #6 in sewer/waste
- #9 in water.
Reflecting on market trends, Jim Giannopoulos, global CEO, comments, “We have certainly seen a growing demand for sustainable approaches and climate change risk mitigation. For example, we are working with some of the world's largest companies to implement solutions where we can rapidly capture data about the environmental performance of their building or retail spaces on a global scale, and then analyse it to identify less carbon-intensive or zero-waste fittings and materials.
“The requirement to drive down emissions globally will be the biggest challenge and opportunity for our industry. Without new infrastructure - such as energy generation, storage and public transport - we cannot achieve global climate goals. At the same time, we need to do more to make construction itself more sustainable with "greener" materials, less waste and more efficient processes.”
