The Manila Times reports on how OceanaGold Philippines has upgraded monitoring of the tailings storage facility at its Didipio Mine, partnering with GHD to bring together geotechnical and satellite monitoring data in a single remote-access dashboard.

The system provides continuous visibility of dam performance, supports early warning protocols and enables engineers to respond more quickly to changing conditions during periods of heavy rainfall.

OceanaGold said the technology supports monitoring, reporting and operational decision-making at the site.

“The innovative monitoring technology at the Didipio Mine gives us consistent, data-led insights. Linking target data with engineering design, OGP engineers can now access real-time information remotely and act with confidence in a challenging and evolving environment,” said Jonathan Dickson, Global Business Leader, Dams and Geotech Management Solutions at GHD.
