GHD has been selected as a Design Development Partner for Sydney Water, where we will collaborate with Sydney Water’s Program Delivery team to prepare advanced concept designs for water and wastewater treatment and network infrastructure projects under the Capital Investment Program.

Global professional services company GHD has been selected as a Design Development Partner (DDP) for Sydney Water, to help bring greater certainty to major water and wastewater projects.

The DDP role involves working with Sydney Water’s Program Delivery team to prepare advanced concept designs for water and wastewater treatment and network infrastructure projects under the Capital Investment Program.

As one of three teams awarded a DDP role (in addition to the Sydney Water Planning Partner), GHD will provide detailed information in the advanced concept design deliverables. This will also give contractors clearer scope and risk details, leading to more efficient capital program delivery.

Andrew Chitty, GHD Water Market Leader – Sydney, said, “We are committed to supporting sustainable and innovative water solutions and this partnership allows us to contribute to the transformation of Sydney’s water and wastewater systems.”

“Our involvement in recent projects, including the Upper South Creek Advanced Water Recycling Centre, demonstrate our experience in delivering complex and impactful water infrastructure projects.”

Brad Gale, GHD National Water Practice Leader, added, “We are delighted to be working with Sydney Water to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of their projects, providing reliable and sustainable services to the communities of Sydney.”
