Goodman had a mission to achieve a green star rating for its new office refurbishment and transition away from traditional workstations to an agile environment. The brief was to create an open, highly flexible office promoting collaboration and flexibility.
The previous fitout posed limitations on collaboration and hindered creativity in the workplace. The traditional setup failed to cater to diverse workstyles and evolving business needs, impacting productivity. The need for a new office space was clear, one that would promote unity and cohesion in the workplace.
With the desire to remain innovative in a rapidly evolving business landscape, Goodman wanted to push the boundaries of traditional working for its new office fitout. It understood that the modern workforce values flexibility, collaboration and a sense of community and wanted its new office to reflect these values.
To achieve this, the design features a variety of workspaces, including quiet pods, telephone booths, soft seating areas and meeting rooms that encourage collaboration, providing employees with the freedom to work in a manner best suited to their tasks.
The industrial aesthetic of polished concrete floors and exposed ceilings is balanced with natural greenery and warm timber accents throughout the space, creating a welcoming and visually appealing environment.
Sustainability was a core driver for the design. The vision for a 5 Green Star Interior Built rating, was brought to life by incorporating a series of ‘green stories’ that illustrate Goodman’s values and practices.
These stories are woven throughout the building, offering an engaging and informative experience for both staff and visitors alike.
The outcome is an inspiring and revitalising space that sets an innovative and forward-thinking benchmark, reflecting the essence of the Goodman brand. The workspace embodies Goodman’s commitment to sustainability and exemplifies its passion for doing things differently.
