The Roads Australia (RA) Fellowship Program is an unique opportunity to be part of a national mentoring initiative, aimed at developing our industry’s next generation leaders. The program runs for 12 months with a new intake at the end of each year. Since its inception in 2015, the program has been highly sought after and supported by industry leaders, with mentors including current and former chief executives of road and transport agencies.

Aimee has more than 16 years of experience in the traffic engineering industry on a range of projects for both private and Government clients, encompassing project development, road safety engineering, stakeholder engagement and active transport.

With a strong passion for shaping the future of the transportation industry by focusing on connecting communities through transport, providing a safe environment for mobility, and offering a diverse suite of transportation options, Aimee believes in fostering partnerships that inspire creative problem-solving, embracing cutting-edge technologies, and working collaboratively across sectors to build a transportation network that is resilient, responsive, and deeply connected to the needs of the communities it serves.

“I’m delighted to be selected as a Roads Australia Fellow. I believe mentorship is an opportunity for mutual growth, embodying shared wisdom and collaborative empowerment. To drive the future of our industry, I envision a landscape where transport is more than just a means of getting from point A to point B. It's a conduit for economic growth, social interaction, and personal empowerment. By combining my passion for community integration, road safety advocacy, and diverse transportation solutions, I am confident in my ability to contribute significantly to Roads Australia's mission as a Fellow,” says Aimee.

Mikel Alonso, Australian Market Leader – Transport says, “Aimee is a technically excellent engineer who has played a pivotal role on a number of traffic projects both in Tasmania and nationally. In her role as Business Group Leader – Transport she leads her team with an aim to equip them with the skills and mindset needed to navigate their careers with confidence. We are so proud of Aimee’s success and look forward to seeing the impact she will continue to make on the transport industry, with the Roads Australia fellowship helping to further her career and industry influence.”

Aimee follows on from GHD’s Craig Hugo, Senior Civil Engineer who was selected as an RA Fellow in 2023, Erin Jackson, GHD’s Mobility Lead - Australia who was selected as Tasmania’s first ever RA Fellow in 2020, and Liz Tinlin, GHD’s Business Group Leader – Bridges, Victoria, who was selected as an RA Fellow in 2021.
