The challenge
Our response
The new facility for 300 children was conceived as an active learning environment to support the learners and the diverse ways in which they work. The school was arranged as a series of neighbourhoods composed of learning nodes, each with 3-4 homebase classrooms, that are connected to a variety of complementary group learning zones. Spaces are designed to support large group, small group and independent work area.
The centre is provided with highly automated naturally ventilated and cooled systems in addition to mechanical heating and cooling and provides a comfortable and healthy indoor environment while being connected to the outdoors.
The impact
The new building is a fantastic space, that functions exceptionally well and has transformed learning at the school.
