Kerry Neil steps into Regional General Manager Role for Western Canada
With over 15 years of experience at GHD, Dr. Kerry Neil brings a wealth of expertise in the mining, energy, and infrastructure sectors. Kerry's journey at GHD began in northern Australia. Most recently as Regional General Manager for South Australia she played a pivotal role in leading large-scale projects and building strategic client relationships. Her deep knowledge of the sector, along with her strategic approach to client management, has been instrumental in delivering innovative solutions and fostering strong partnerships, notably with key clients such as BHP, for whom she served as Executive Sponsor.
Throughout her career, Kerry has demonstrated a strong commitment to developing high-performing, multidisciplinary teams and has consistently focused on building synergies across regions. Her extensive work in South Australia and across the geographies GHD operates in has equipped her with a robust understanding of the challenges and opportunities industry faces, making her an ideal fit to lead GHD’s Western Canada operations. Her leadership will help expand our service offerings, drive collaborative efforts, and support GHD's mission to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

With your extensive experience in South Australia, how do you plan to leverage your knowledge of the mining, energy, and infrastructure sectors to address the unique challenges and opportunities in Western Canada?
Elsewhere these sectors are a significant part of the work that GHD does for clients. My knowledge of what GHD is doing in Chile, Australia, New Zealand and elsewhere will be able to offer our Western Canada clients new ways of working and technical solutions that address their key challenges to support them in efficient and sustainable business delivery.
Client relationships are at the core of your leadership approach. How will your experience as the Executive Sponsor for BHP shape your strategy in building and strengthening client partnerships in Western Canada?
I believe the key to delivering excellence for our clients is to truly understand what they need, why they need it and to bring solutions that answer that ask for them. All clients operate differently. We respect that and leverage our vast network of talent to ensure every project meets their needs, every time.
What innovative approaches do you foresee implementing in Western Canada to expand GHD’s service offerings, particularly in areas like ports, shipping, and environmental management?
I am leading a project that has been independently described as offering world class technology solutions for environmental impact mitigation and management. That project is facilitating sustainable development and operations of key port infrastructure. I look forward to introducing our local clients to these solutions to understand what may benefit their own operations.
