GHD wins prestigious sustainability award for its zero emission vehicle optimization tool
GHD, a global professional services company operating in the markets of water, energy and resources, environment, property and buildings, and transportation, has earned the 2024 Environment Analyst Digital Innovation Award.
The award recognized GHD’s fleet decarbonization solution, GHD ZEVO (Zero Emissions Vehicle Optimization), which distills fleet data into simple-to-understand insights. ZEVO is an optimization-focused solution that transforms operational data into various decarbonization timeline scenarios providing the associated financial, environmental, utilities, operational and energy analysis for each scenario. This reduces the risk associated with piloting high-cost fleet decarbonization projects across any region. This is done by providing an understanding of all economic and environmental aspects of a project — from new charging or hydrogen fueling infrastructure to purchasing ZEVs (zero emissions vehicles), to enabling change management within the organization.
ZEVO has been applied by more than 30 GHD clients who use ZEVO analysis to identify the optimal transition pathway to decarbonization that works best for their fleet of vehicles.
Organizations require tools like ZEVO to help manage their zero-emission efforts for their fleets and understand the optimal roadmap that has the least risk yet the highest likelihood of success. Providing these types of digital tools to businesses and organizations worldwide will be essential in achieving net-zero goals in the years to come.
The award is part of Environment Analyst’s annual Sustainability Delivery Awards, which acknowledge Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) innovation, achievement and leadership. GHD received the award June 25 at a ceremony at the Environment Analyst Global Business Summit in Boston.
