GHD appoints US Army Relationship Manager to strengthen mission delivery for clients
GHD announces the appointment of Bernie Lindstrom as U.S. Army Relationship Manager, serving as an advisor to Army leaders responsible for infrastructure modernization and mission readiness, strengthening the firm’s ability to support U.S. Army clients with complex infrastructure and program delivery.
“Bernie brings a deep understanding of Army clients and the infrastructure challenges they face,” said Ted Whiton, GHD’s Executive General Manager – US. “He has a practical approach to delivery and a proven ability to build relationships that support long-term programs. His leadership will help connect Army clients with GHD’s integrated capabilities across infrastructure, environmental services, resilience, digital delivery, water resources and program management.”
Bernie brings more than 30 years of experience in infrastructure planning, design, and construction. In this role, he will lead GHD’s relationships with U.S. Army clients and support delivery of programs for civil works, environment and military construction.
He joins GHD from Jacobs Engineering, where he served as Client Account Manager and advisor to Army and Air Force clients. His work included advancing energy resilience initiatives, modernizing industrial infrastructure and supporting the growth of civil works programs.
Before his private sector career, he served 25 years with the United States Army Corps of Engineers, leading engineering and construction teams worldwide. He has also held senior leadership roles across healthcare and public infrastructure organizations. Notable assignments included serving as Executive Director for Civil Works during Hurricane Sandy response and leading the $450 million Wolf Creek dam rehabilitation in Nashville.
Bernie holds a master of strategic studies in energy and environment from the US Army War College and an executive master of business administration from Benedictine College.
A three-time post president of the Society of American Military Engineers, he has demonstrated sustained commitment to the military engineering community throughout his career.
“I’m excited to join GHD and support Army clients as they address evolving mission needs,” Bernie said. “I look forward to helping deliver resilient, sustainable infrastructure that strengthens national readiness.”
