About the program
At GHD, we think differently about returning to work after a career break.
We offer a 10 week, paid, flexible program with the potential and goal of ongoing employment. We started the program in 2017 and it is now an annual program offered Australia-wide - and it is growing each year.

Eligibility
If you've taken a career break and you're looking to return to the workforce, then this program is for you. We are currently looking for professionals who have experience in any of the following disciplines:
- Engineering (building services, civil/structural, electrical, mechanical, process, renewables)
- Environmental and earth geosciences (including sustainability)
- Modelling / drafting (Revit, 12d, AutoCAD, Civil 3d, SolidWorks)
- Project management (PMCA)
- Major project delivery (project directors, project engineers, cost controllers, document controllers, estimators, schedulers, engineering managers)
- Design (architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, urban design, planning)
- Information services (I.T.) (IT project management or business analysts)
- Business services (legal, people and culture)

Emma's relaunch leads the way
Emma spent ten years working as geologist before pivoting to photography, a profession that gave her the flexibility she needed while raising her four young children. As her children got older, Emma sought a path back into the science field and joined GHD’s Career Relaunch Program in 2018. Today, Emma works as a Business Group Leader with GHD leading a team of 40 professionals. Below, Emma shares some of her career insights and the value of the Career Relaunch Program.
