The challenge
Our response
Over nine floors, wayfinding is simple in the Parramatta fitout. An interconnecting stair links an open, transparent workplace and each floor is identified by a colour. Primary circulation paths are defined by polished concrete flooring and open cell ceilings, contrasting with the carpet and perforated ceilings that demarcate quiet areas.
Collaborative plazas, kitchens and lockers are located near lifts, amenities and intertenancy stairs. Neighbourhoods incorporate varied work settings, enclosed meeting rooms, semi-enclosed collaborative areas, quiet nooks and open plazas.
The workplace in Wagga Wagga reflects the RMS’ commitment to providing quality service to the area. Inspired by the landscape of the region, the central built zone and main circulation routes follow the curves of the Murrumbidgee River. Walk-through locker and utility areas and enclosed meeting rooms and focus rooms comprise the built zone. Team-based settings are located near the main circulation route and quieter areas closer to the perimeter of the building.
